Matthew Hay-Roe

Matthew Hay-Roe was born in Canton, Ohio, and quickly attached himself to music at a young age. His preschool teacher had a piano, on which he was quick to master Chopsticks. He began formal lessons at age six and found the end-of-year performance to be his favorite part. He taught himself anything he could hear, and discovered his learn-by-ear ability, much to the frustration and amusement of his teachers.
